Mitchell Business and Financial Consulting was created in early 2012. The start-up company was begun by collaborating expertise from multiple sources and created as an alternative to large-scale accounting corporations. The business was created to provide high-end, professional accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses at reasonable rates and without bureaucracy of large corporations. A Limited Liability Company, Mitchell Business provides its clients with personalized, professional service.

Meet the Team

    Owner and President, Patrick Mitchell holds multiple related degrees. His first Master’s degree was granted from the University of Denver in Business Administration. He then went on to earn a Master’s of Taxation degree also from the University of Denver, a joint program between DU’s Sturm College of Law and Daniel’s College of Business. He was certified as an Internal Auditor in 2005 by the Institute of Internal Auditors. He is now an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential the IRS awards.

Mr. Mitchell has worked for over 15 years in industry and state government holding a wide range of positions from Performance Auditor to Sr. Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.  Mr. Mitchell has worked for the state governments of Colorado and Arizona and has worked for AT&T, GE, OmniTrax, and Frontier Airlines.

Bookkeeping specialist, Sandra Bloom, records transactions and troubleshoots client work. She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and also certified in the program through the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers. Sandra holds an advanced certification from the IRS’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Tax Counseling for the Elderly program and performs pro bono work for low income taxpayers. She is currently pursuing an accounting degree. Sandra received a Bachelor’s in English from Virginia Tech and has experience in Non-Governmental-Organizations.
